Great Bay Estuary Draft NPDES General Permit - Public Comments
A public comment period on a draft nitrogen discharge permit recently issued by the Environmental Protection Agency for Great Bay was open through May 8, 2020. The draft permit's requirements, if adopted would likely exceed $850,000 to $1 million more towards operating costs for Rochester alone, and could top $1 billion across all communities in the Great Bay watershed.
